Job Description

chirontiQ is seeking a Head of Security to lead and manage the protection of our sites, operations, and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, ensuring the safety of our assets, and overseeing all on-site security operations.

As a key member of our team, you will lead and coordinate local security teams, establish protocols and standards, and work closely with operational teams to maintain a secure and controlled working environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security strategies to protect sites, operations, and equipment.

  
  

• Lead, manage, and coordinate all on-site security personnel and external security providers.
  
  

• Establish and enforce security protocols, procedures, and standards across all locations.
  
  

• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential threats to operations, assets, and personnel.

  
  

• Oversee access control, perimeter security, and surveillance systems.
  
  

• Coordinate incident response, investigations, and reporting in case of security breaches or incidents.
  
  

• Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure secure and uninterrupted workflows.
  
  

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal security policies.
  
  

• Manage relationships with local authorities, partners, and stakeholders on security matters.
  
  

• Train and brief security teams regularly to maintain high standards and readiness.
  
  

• Monitor security performance and continuously improve processes and systems.

Basic Requirements

5+ years of experience in security management, ideally in industrial, logistics, or high-risk environments.

• Proven experience leading and managing on-site security teams.
  
  

• Strong understanding of risk assessment, threat mitigation, and security operations.
  
  

• Experience developing and implementing security protocols and procedures.
  
  

• Ability to respond to incidents effectively and manage crisis situations under pressure.
  
  

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate diverse teams and
  stakeholders.
  
  

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites or priorities simultaneously.
  
  

• High level of responsibility, reliability, and decision-making capability.
  
  

• Familiarity with local regulations and working with authorities is a plus.
  
  

• Willingness to work on-site in operational environments and travel as required.

Preferred Requirements

• Background in military, law enforcement, or professional security services.
  
  

• Experience in industrial, logistics, or high-risk operational environments.
  
  

• Previous experience working in remote locations or international settings (e.g. Africa).
  
  

• Training or certifications in security management, risk management, or crisis response.
  
  

• Experience with security systems such as surveillance (CCTV), access control, and alarm systems.
  
  

• Strong understanding of emergency response planning and incident management.
  
  

• Experience coordinating with local authorities, partners, and external security providers.
  
  

• Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices in corporate and site security.
  
  

• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
